Monmouth Dems Expand Relationship With Hate Group
Former Goldman Sachs banker Phil Murphy, the Democrat running for governor of New Jersey, does not want to talk about his plan to raise taxes by $1.3 billion. He also doesn’t want to talk about renewing the law that is keeping a lid on New Jersey property taxes which expires at the end of this year.
Murphy really doesn’t want Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, the GOP nominee for governor, to talk about taxes either. Murphy wants to talk the Confederate flag. He wants Guadagno to talk about it too, according to a report at NJ.com.
Maybe Murphy has internal polling data that shows New Jersey voters are suddenly concerned about the preponderance of Confederate flags flying in the State. Patrick Murray of the Monmouth University Polling Institute should update the questions he asks when surveying voters. Monmouth has been reporting for years that our highest in the nation property taxes are the #1 concern of New Jersey voters.
While Murphy wants to keep the fact that Assemblyman Parker Space attended a Hank Williams Jr concert where he was photographed in front of a doctored rebel flag a campaign issue in the gubernatorial race, he remains silent on the role that the anti-cop/anti-Catholic hate group, District 4 Coalition for Change is playing in his campaign and that of his Monmouth County running mates.
Prior to MMM writing about District 4 Coalition for Change’s hate speech and fundraising activities last month, only Murphy, the 13th legislative district Dems ,the Dem freeholder candidates and Tricia Maguire, a Dem candidate for Middletown Township Committee, were being promoted by the group. Now the LD 11 candidates legislative candidates, Vin Gopal for Senate and Assembly Members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey are apparently relying on the group for support.
